Pass-blocking grade on true pass sets
Cooper Beebe, Kansas State: 88.7
Beebe is not a super athlete but he has the football experience to be successful in interior pass protection.
In true pass-sets, his understanding of angles and leverage allowed him to be successful. On 130 snaps he was only able to allow three pressures.
Grade for pass blocking on no-play action plays
Cooper Beebe, Kansas State: 91.4

Kansas State’s product had a pass-block rating of 99.2 on passes without play action. It allowed just five pressures in total on 311 snaps.
Plays with play-action and pass blocking grade
Zak Zinter, Michigan: 89.9
Former Wolverine excelled at MichiganPower-heavy offensive scheme of, which allows him to be aggressive on the passing downs. He can also display power and force to make defenders move on pass play sets.
Zinter allowed zero pressure, and was only beaten once in the 73 play action dropbacks he made. This resulted in an efficiency rating of 1000% for pass blocking.
Five- and Seven-Step Dropbacks with Pass-Blocking Grade

The three-step drop is a good way to pass the blocking grade
Cooper Beebe, Kansas State: 85.3
Beebe’s technique is excellent and he uses his hands effectively to stabilize bull rushers. This helps Kansas State in their short passing game.
In three-step drops the ex-Wildcat interior blocker was just one amongst many who did not allow any pressure. He was also the only player to achieve this feat with 100 or more snaps played and 25 screen attempts at most.
Run Blocking Grade on zone runs
Mason McCormick, South Dakota State: 94.7
This FCS star has a great deal of athleticism which enabled him to be the best at his position, especially when it came to zone concepts. McCormick received a positive grade on 29.4% snaps of zone-run blocking, the highest percentage among prospects for interior blocking in this year’s class.
Run blocking grade on gap runs
Mason McCormick, South Dakota State: 79.9
He also has the finisher mentality and explosiveness to force his will onto gap concepts. In man/gaps concepts, he logged a total of 271 snaps blocking runs and scored ‘positively’ on 19.6%. He led this year’s class.
Grades in the Red Zone
Drake Nugent, Michigan: 82.9

The overall grade for third and fourth grades
