The Houston Oilers wore throwback uniforms last season after scrapping their old uniforms.The Tennessee Titans will wear their alternate light blue jerseys in at least one 2024 game.
In a recent mailbag, team reporter Jim Wyatt stated that the Titans would be wearing Oilers throwback jerseys again in 2024. “Which matches, and for what number of games, has yet to be determined.
“A year ago, the Titans wore them twice – vs the (Houston) Texans and (Atlanta) Falcons – after considering wearing them three times.
“Also,” the team said, “the team plans to return the light-blue Titans jerseys at least for one game in 2024. This is assuming there are no delays in manufacturing or a sudden change of mind.
“I know that a lot fans enjoyed seeing them, so we plan to bring them back.” The jerseys planned for 2024 are the Oilers light blue throwbacks, Titans Columbia Blue, Titans navy, and Titans white.
As Wyatt mentioned, The Titans wore throwback uniforms two times in 2023 to honor their roots as Oilers, including an Oct. 29 win over the Falcons of 28-23. A 19-16 overtime defeat to the Texans, Dec. 17,.
