It is important to note that the word “you” means “you”. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) The 15th match was played against the Lucknow Super Giants. Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL 2024) The M Chinnaswamy Stadion in Bengaluru will host the match on April 2, 2020.
Bengaluru, having won the coin toss at home, elected to start the game by bowling first. RCB and LSG made notable changes to their playing with the home team bringing in Reece Topley for Alzarri Joseph and the KL Rahul & Co. replacing injured Mohsin Khan with Yash Thakur.
Rahul was immediately inserted into the starting XI following the match he played as an impact player. Quinton De Kock dominated the RCB’s bowlers during the powerplay when he joined him at the top. Rahul, as per usual, was cautious with his approach. However De Kock’s quick bowling helped LSG score 54/1 by the end of powerplay. Super Giants’ skipper was also out on the first ball of their 6th over.
Devdutt Padikkal came up to bat next and he failed to get going. As a result, LSG’s NRR went down and RCB made a great comeback. Padikkal’s miserable innings came to an abrupt end when he was out in the 9th ball for just six runs. LSG reached 84/2 at the end of 10 balls.
Marcus Stoinis, who played at the centre of the field with Quinton deKock for 56 runs, provided LSG with the needed run rate increase.
Topley dismissed De Kock for only 81, falling short of his 100. Nicholas Pooran’s 40-run innings helped LSG reach a total of 181/5.
Chasing the target in the match, Royal Challengers Bengaluru were off to a poor start in the match as they lost the KGF – Kohli, Glenn, and Faf – inside the powerplay. Cameron Green, who was out as well in the 8th Over, added to this.
Manimaran SIDHARTH dismissed Virat KOHLI (22) and Faf du Plessis, whilst Mayank Yadav’s pacey bowling disposed of Glenn Maxwell & Cameron Green. Rajat Patidar, Anuj rawat and Manimaran Siddharth had a 36-run stand that allowed RCB to stay in the match but they were unable to put together a big innings.
Mahipal Lomror scored 33 runs in 13 balls, but he was not supported by the opposition and RCB lost the match for 153. Mayank Yadav was the best bowler for LSG with figures of 3/14. In the match, he broke his record for fastest ball in IPL 2024 of 155.8 km/h.

Mayank Yadav has already been the discovery of the season. He is just 21 years old, and he is already touching 156. Beating Bairstow, Maxwell, Green with raw pace – preserve him, he is precious.

RCB’s performance tonight was disappointing in all three areas: bowling and batting. They are looking the most mediocre so far during this season.

IPL this year will be highly competitive. The teams are all very dangerous. MI is going to make a return. CSK is still my pick to defend the title at this point. ????
