The Philadelphia Phillies will be able to whet baseball enthusiasts’ collective appetites as the calendar turns to April. Today, they announced the unveiling of 2024 Nike MLB City Connect Uniforms for their club on April 5, 10:00 am Philly time.
New Era Phillies Team Store will debut the uniform at Citizens Bank Park. This will also be the place for the City Connect merchandise to launch. The afternoon will feature a free Citizens Bank Way block party featuring Phillies alumni from 3 pm to 9pm.
Philadelphia will debut the new uniform one week following the unveiling at their Friday home game against Pittsburgh Pirates. After the unveiling, the Phillies will wear this uniform every home Friday game until the end of 2024 (and possibly into 2025 or 2026).
Phillies’ launch marks the beginning of the Nike MLB City Connect 2024 uniforms. This will include eight new teams and a team that will be trying out a brand new design. Cleveland, Detroit (again), the NY Mets and the LA Dodgers will all be wearing a City Connect jersey in 2024. Also, St. Louis is getting one, as are Tampa Bay, Toronto, St. Louis. This league has not officially released the order or release date of these new jerseys.
