It was derived from an infamous fight that erupted between the Indiana Pacers & Detroit Pistons, in 2004. Ron Artest shoved Ben Wallace, which sparked the entire incident. Artest felt that Wallace had handed him a hard foul – so he pushed him. Artest decided to take a break and lay down. It was then that the game became heated.
Artest lost his temper after a fan threw him a beverage. Artest, the Pistons as well as the Pacers all jumped in the crowd. It took several minutes for security to get things back under control after the teams collided. In the end, the game was called off and key players faced legal implications.
