Michael Bauer is the Chief Financial Officer/CGO for iGaming Talks. GreentubeThe report focuses on essential issues, including the current market position, the primary goals, and the anticipated trajectory of the company for 2024.
Michael unveils Greentube’s latest platform Mynt. This has been certified in South Africa. Greentube, a B2B leader in the industry, has seen significant growth over the past few years. This interview will take you back in time to explore Greentube’s journey.
TheGamblest: Michael, Greentube is one of the most dynamic companies within iGaming. Could you please provide some information on recent company achievements in the market? Also, what position does the company currently hold in this industry?
Michael: A meta trend in the industry – namely ongoing regulation of i-gaming markets – is creating a general positive climate for our business. Our business is based on the regulated market and recent events in Brazil, Peru, and South Africa have benefited our model. We have built up a strong position among suppliers who focus on regulated market over the past few years. But such achievements are not achieved overnight. They are the result of our long-term strategy to build up an organization that can create the best products and knows the different markets quite well – so big cudos to our employees from my side.
What is your future vision of Greentube in 2024, TheGamblest?
Michael: Two key themes will dominate our 2024: the expansion of markets and implementation of new technologies. Besides this, we’ve invested in a couple of new product initiatives. For example, we are bringing to the market an i-lottery platform and a more traditional casino this year.
Greentube: What is your strategy for entering the North American market?
Michael: We plan to launch in Pennsylvania, Connecticut and other states in the first six months of this year. The two key markets for us are Pennsylvania and Connecticut, which will help to enhance our relationships with customers. In addition, we continue to welcome new customers into all US markets. Caesars and Penn National have been live for a year now. Don’t forget Canada, where we will be strengthening our partnerships with BC Lotteries and Quebec. Our focus in Ontario is on future rollouts. In terms of games, we’ve had some fantastic launches this year. Piggy Prices: Wand Of Riches was the most successful. As I look ahead to this coming year, I am confident that we will be able to provide our players with some great games. We are now constantly bolstering our positions in the game statistic rankings as well – a fact that is testament to the quality level that our games have. Our latest releases will be showcased at G2E, in Las Vegas later this year.
TheGamblest. We know also that Latin America is a major focus for the company. Greentube: What strategies does it employ to capitalize and penetrate the Latin American market with an emphasis on Brazil and Peru?
Michael: Latam has also been identified as a key growth market, with particular focus on those two markets. Here, our focus is to employ local sales management and to use key accounts to serve our customers better. Our parent company Novomatic, which has been in Peru for many years, is a strong player in this market. In other areas – specifically crash games – we are investing and will hopefully be able to bring a competitive product to market soon.
TheGamblest: Michael, Greentube has recently launched a new platform – Mynt, currently certified in South Africa. Could you introduce briefly the platform to readers, and tell them what your intentions are for the launch?
Michael: In addition to the massive expansion of our global presence, we have developed Mynt over the past years. It took us longer than expected to complete it, but we now have a platform for game delivery that’s state-of-the art in terms of technology and architecture. We understand that “Mynt”, is more than just an RGS, but also a suite of modules which allows us to develop and deliver complete games. The SDK is for the development studios. There are also tools to help with QA and Certification, and an onboarding platform. By launching in South Africa, we can build up volume faster and make the platform more appealing to studio partners. Mynt is likely to serve new markets, like Brazil in the near future. We will slowly, but surely migrate existing markets to the new platform. Mynt will provide operators with a wider range of gaming options, as well as gamification tools that are being added.
TheGamblest.com: Greentube: How do you leverage advanced technology of Mynt to provide high performance and flexibility in the gaming industry?
Michael: Mynt has been designed to work with either on-premises machines or in the cloud. It can be used on any cloud service provider that fits our criteria. It allows us to scale our resources quickly on the platform nodes. Mynt has the advantage of being able to manage all of its nodes through a central hub, meaning there is no need for additional effort in managing operators and games. The platform can withstand any interruptions in data between nodes. Additionally, the infrastructure has been built as service-oriented to allow us to respond quickly to new market requirements and reduce time to market.
TheGamblest (TG): In what way does Mynt represent a major step in the support of operators and suppliers across a game ecosystem that is comprehensive? Can you describe the features and tools offered by Mynt to meet the needs of both operators and suppliers in a comprehensive game ecosystem?
Michael: Mynt is a powerful tool for operators that simplifies integration through features such as step-by-step instructions, live logs, and self-checks. They can set up as many staging environments as needed to fit their development process. Operators can benefit from an advanced back-office that allows them to manage campaigns and self-service configuration of games. Most of the features available in Mynt’s back-office can also be accessed via APIs. This allows operators to integrate these functions with their own tools.
Mynt’s modular SDK allows suppliers to develop games faster, by maximising component reuse. Mynt’s tool makes it easy to test games, and requires little manual configuration. By allowing suppliers to enter game meta data (like game math), they can reduce the dependence on internal operations during development. Finally, certain elements like game rules and compliance data have been kept separate from game clients, significantly reducing development and operational complexity.
TheGamblest, to summarize our interview: Our audience is sure to be interested in knowing what you do with your free time. Maybe you enjoy mountaineering. ????
Michael: As an Austrian, I love the mountains. In the summer I like to ride my mountain bike and in the winter, ski.
