Speaking to ESPN Cricinfo, former cricketer-turned-commentator Varun Aaron shared his verdict on Mayank Yadav featuring in the T20 World Cup 2024 and Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT). Aaron believes Yadav needs to put on more impressive bowling performances to be considered for BGT.

Varun Aaron is confident that Yadav will make it into the T20I World Cup squad in 2024 if his performances continue to be outstanding during IPL.

Mitchell McClenaghan, a former New Zealander player, was also in the discussion. Mayank Yadav would be a candidate for India’s T20 World Cup team if Mayank Yadav maintains his current form through the IPL in 2024.
