In an update on the PlayStation Store, EA Sports College Football 25’s deluxe cover was unveiled. This has generated even more anticipation for its long-anticipated summer release.
Michigan running back Donovan Edwards is prominently displayed in the middle of the cover, which is fitting since the last installment of the game – NCAA Football 14, – featured former Wolverines quarterback Denard Robinson.
Edwards has several athletes flanking him, such as Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers. Colorado cornerback/wide receiver Travis Hunter is also there. Alabama quarterback Jalroe and Georgia quarterback Carson Beck are both present.
Cotton Bowl Stadium has a tunnel where you can see unnamed players of programs such as Notre Dame (left), BYU (right), Florida State, Clemson and Oregon, and also flags representing Ohio State, Iowa and Kansas State.
It is the first time in history that current athletes are allowed to appear on the front cover of the magazine. This was made possible by the introduction of the Name, Image and likeness (NIL), a new rule for college sports. From the time the Bill Walsh College Football game was first released in 1993 until now, the covers often feature the Heisman Award winner, even if that player has returned to college.
Along with the cover image, there is also a screen shot of Notre Dame’s players standing at the Notre Dame Stadium in the tunnel. The screenshot is similar to a scene from a game’s pre-game, and it could appear in the video trailer.
This listing says: “EA Sports College Football 25 offers a variety of explosive gameplay options across 134 FBS Schools. Immerse yourself into the legendary atmospheres and culture of college football while you pursue college greatness.”
OneTeam PartnersMore than 12300 players signed up for the game before the April deadline. The game is worth approximately $70 and each player receives $600.
There’s no word on if the cover of the standard version will differ. It is worth noting that EA Sports Madden NFL typically features the same athletes, but in different poses.
