This is the time when managers should actively strategize to enhance their rosters, acquire rookie draft picks, and prepare for the upcoming season. The aim of my dynasty rankings isn’t to be sensational; it’s to be accurate. I aim to help you navigate your leagues and make the best decisions to win championships and build your own dynasty.
None of this is an exact science. At this early stage in the offseason, our analysis is based on gut feeling and speculation about what teams will do in free agency and the NFL Draft in April. As the offseason progresses and things become clearer, our opinions and predictions will evolve. With the free agency frenzy and the start of the new league year behind us, here’s where I stand on the top 200 players in dynasty fantasy football formats in version 3.0 of my rankings.
What Changed?
The legal tampering period saw significant movement, impacting my rankings. Notable moves include Kirk Cousins signing with Atlanta, Tony Pollard landing in Tennessee, Jim Harbaugh allowing Mike Williams and Austin Ekeler to leave in free agency, and trading Keenan Allen to the Bears.
As we approach the NFL Draft, more moves are expected. Bengals WR Tee Higgins is still on the trading block, Ryan Tannehill’s future is uncertain, QB-needy teams are active, and WR Michael Thomas is available for teams looking to bolster their receiving corps. With that in mind, let’s see who made significant moves in my latest dynasty rankings.
Moving On Up!
- Joe Mixon (RB – HOU) | RB23 to RB14: Mixon’s move to Houston gives him a fresh start and a promising outlook. With a stronger offensive line, Mixon can thrive as the lead back and a capable receiver in the Texans’ offense.
- Drake London (WR – ATL) | WR11 to WR8: With Kirk Cousins leading the Falcons’ offense, London’s potential gets a significant boost. Under new offensive coordinator Zac Robinson, London is poised to excel and become a top-tier fantasy WR.
Going Down, Down, Down
- Justin Herbert (QB – LAC) | QB4 to QB8: Changes in the Chargers’ roster and coaching staff, including the departure of key players and Jim Harbaugh’s run-heavy approach, have led to a downgrade for Herbert in my rankings.
- Tony Pollard (RB – TEN) | RB10 to RB17: Pollard’s move to Tennessee doesn’t inspire confidence in his role as a lead back. While he still holds fantasy value, the emergence of Tyjae Spears suggests a shift in the Titans’ backfield dynamics.
In dynasty fantasy football, staying ahead of roster changes and team developments is crucial. These rankings provide a snapshot of player values at this moment, but as the offseason progresses, adjustments will be necessary to stay competitive.
