One third of the 14 Fir trees that were replanted on Las Vegas Strip in the fall last year are not alive. These trees were planted to replace similar but older evergreens that had been felled last autumn in order to build a grandstand for the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix.

MGM’s Bellagio Fountain Club renderings were released in November 2022. It was clear that the sidewalk trees at Bellagio would have to be removed to make room for it. It is an open-air grandstand with a capacity of 3,600 people, featuring celebrity chefs and rooftop decks. The admission price per person for the Fountain Club costs $13, 000.
Steve Wynn, who had demolished the Bellagio in 1993, had planted some of these trees in front of it.
