Arsenal’s brand new home kit features a return of an iconic and well-known piece to its club history. For the first time in 1989-90, Arsenal’s home shirt will feature a cannon on its chest. This is a welcome return for fans.
Cannons are a nod to the Gunners earliest football roots, which were established in Woolwich (south London) in 1886, by the workers of the Royal Arsenal ammunition-and-munitions factory. This emblem, which was first used in 1888 and has since been part of the badge ever since it’s inception in Woolwich in south London.

For the rest of 2024-25’s home shirt from Adidas, the standard template remains intact with red sleeves and a white torso presented as usual. White panels are also underlayed with a subtle tiles effect for a bit more lustre.
The trim colour has been changed to dark blue from the 2023-24 gold. It also extends down the sleeves of the shirt and the white shorts.
City, however, took inspiration from its local heritage, even if it was an unorthodox source. Puma’s 2024-25 home jersey features the number “0161”, which is the dialing code for the city of Manchester.
City recruited Mancunian rapper Tays, who wrote and performed the soundtrack to the video.
The flashy details on each side help to break up the sky-blue of the main jersey, making it instantly recognizable as Manchester City.
