Davies’ contract at Bayern expires next season. If he does not extend, the club will lose him without receiving any fee in 2025.
But in an interview with German publication Bild Nick Huoseh, the agent of Davies, said that Bayern’s approach to the player was unfair on Thursday.
Huoseh: “It is unfair that Alphonso has been attacked now.”
“We were very close to an agreement last year. Then, the entire management of the club was replaced. We heard nothing for seven months. I tried to contact the club during this period.
“Now that the club is under immense pressure, and it took a long while to reposition in the management, we are given an ultimatum. And are expected to react within a two-week period? That’s not right.
“It’s an important contract for Alphonso and we have to make a decision without knowing the coach or the team’s look next season. We think it’s unfair that we react to this ultimatum.
