A conference committee has been formally appointed to consider legislation in Alabama that seeks to create a casino-style gambling facility with slots, table games and sports betting.
The leaders of both the House of Representatives and the Senate of California will each appoint 3 members to the Conference committee. It is the goal of this assembly to resolve differences between the gaming laws that the two chambers have passed in the current legislative session.
“I think that we need to find a middle ground first, because there is such a big difference between them,” stated Rep. Chris Blackshear.
