This morning, at Adirondack Bank Center Utica (New York), the IIHF Ice Hockey Women’s World Championship 2024 begins. Ten teams divided into two divisions are competing to be crowned the top hockey team of the year.

On the right is Utica’s skyline and on the left, a line of pine trees. The logo is red, blue, and white with four stripes, three white stars. It’s a nod to flag of host United States.
This logo is available in two different versions: the main logo shown (stacked vertically above) and another version, horizontally, below.
In Pool A, the United States, Canada, Czechia and Finland are all present. The host country (and champion defending) is also included. China, Denmark Germany Japan and Sweden are in Pool B. The Women’s World Championship is in its 22nd year. The only countries to have won the gold in this tournament were Canada and the U.S., with Finland winning silver once (in 2019).
Since quite some time, the IIHF uses a standard template for all of its tournament logos. It was the 2007 Women’s Hockey Championship that used the template. Templates are based on the rectangle, rounded corners of the IIHF LogoEach logo features the tournament year above and below; always at the bottom, you will find your host city. The tournament name is displayed below the logo, and each one has the year of the event above it.
