The following are some examples of the use of India The 2007 T20 World Cup champion and all-rounder Irfan PATHAN The lashing out of Mumbai Indians Hardik Pandya, the captain of Wankhede FC for failing to lead by example. Instead of trying to fight back and win, MI, in its first home match of the season gave into the pressure from Rajasthan Royals, to lose another game. Mumbai is now hoping that they can turn things around in front of their home crowd when they play Delhi Capitals next.
Hardik Pandya was expected to be freed from the boos and jeers last night, but instead things got worse. Right from the coin-toss the crowd continued to jeer the allrounder over his move from Gujarat Titans to Mumbai Indians. Fans are even more incensed by the decision made by MI management to remove Rohit and replace him with Pandya.
Hardik Pandya’s team’s results in the first three games further fuelled the fury of the fans. The first defeat, where MI came very close to winning the match, could be easily forgotten. However the second loss in which Sunrisers Hyderabad lost felt like an insult. A team never conceded more than 277 in the league. Then last night against Rajasthan Royals, MI produced yet another embarrassing performance with the bat as they posted this IPL’s lowest total on the board – 125.
Irfan Pathan challenges Hardik Pandya on how he will earn respect
Irfan Patan, who has been a part of Star Sports Hindi commentary for many years, is very active in X (formerly Twitter), and especially so during IPL games. Pathan tweeted about last night’s match between RR and MI. It was his second-to-last tweet about Hardik Pandya that caught the attention of the general public.
Pathan was not impressed with the way Hardik Pandya batted in the last match. He had arrived at middle order after a spectacular collapse of the top order. Former all-rounder Pathan said that Pandya can only earn respect if he is willing to stand up for his team and defend them in tough situations. Last night, Pandya had the opportunity to apologize and earn the respect of his fans.
You always want to see your leader do difficult things. Irfan Pathan said on X that if he didn’t, he wouldn’t gain his team respect.
It is important that your leader does the hard things. It’s important that he takes the initiative to do what is difficult.

Irfan Pathan targets Pandya again with a tweet
Irfan Pandya had already targeted Irfan Bumrah, using his name in a cryptic way, before he sent that tweet about Hardik. Pandya either bowled his own first over, or gave it to someone else instead of trusting Bumrah as the best league bowler. This decision was also a topic of debate and Pandya’s first over last night had to be Bumrah, since MI had set a target lower than 130.
This is what Pathan wanted to emphasize. It’s not rocket science. Get your best bowler in the beginning. Bumrah finally with the new balls. The RR forced it due to the low total.
A good bowler is easy to find. Bumrah finally with the new balls. It was because of the small amount by RR.
