PokerNews: What was your winning strategy for the WPT Voyage?
Miller: My online win was a big one
How and when did you first learn poker?
Played with friends, family and colleagues for over 40 years. Learning is something that I still do by hosting home games, and I play whenever I can.
What inspired you to become a ClubWPT member and how long have you had it?
I’ve been a member on and off for a few years. Although I would prefer to be able to play games live, WPT offers me the chance to do that at home.
Do you have any success stories with ClubWPT that you would like to share? When and where did you win?
This is the first time I’ve won a big pot on WPT.
Ever been on a poker or cruise cruise?
It is true that I’ve been on multiple cruises. In fact, my main poker tournament win on Carnival qualified me to join the Carnival Poker Cruise. It looks like I came 26th, just outside the money.
Whatâs your proudest poker accomplishment to date?
I am most proud of the Cruise Tournament at Carnival. The WPT Voyage Package is the most impressive so far. I used to win some payouts of $6,000-$8,000 on online websites and I also won a $10,000 local tournament.
The timing is ideal as our 40th anniversary of marriage is on April 21st.
Which WPT Voyage features are you looking forward to the most?
It was just a chance for my wife and I to go away. Our 40th wedding anniversary falls on the 21st of April.
Do you have any poker professionals that you’d like to play or meet? What would it be like for you to play or meet with them?
Mike Sexton will always be my favorite host, but I would love to play and/or meet any professional.
