The Edmonton Elks, in celebration of the 75th anniversary the current incarnation team, have unveiled a brand new anniversary logo. They also plan to celebrate this milestone throughout the 2024 Canadian Football League Season.
The logo was unveiled on Monday, 25 March during a press event at Commonwealth Stadium. It shows the stadium and Edmonton’s skyline in a shield of gold with a border of green. The skyline is dominated by a large number “75”, in green. Above it are the years “1949-2024”. The original double-E logo of the team is at the bottom. Each flashing bulb in the stadium stands represents the team’s 14 Grey Cup titles.
The logo was the result of a collaboration between local graphic designers Curtis Ogrodiuk, and Elks staff designers Daniel Trojillo.
The unveiling was attended by several team legends, and the feedback was positive.
“It’s beautiful. It’s beautiful. I enjoyed it. “I’m a big fan of the EE, and I will say it again and again, I am a huge supporter of Edmonton Elks,” said Henry “Gizmo”, the famous kick returner. “I love the logo. It’s great.
